Our Story
Stampin’ Up! is a papercraft company, but we’re about much more than that—we’re driven to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
Founded in 1988 by two sisters, Stampin’ Up! has provided high-quality papercraft products and a direct-sales opportunity for over 30 years. In 2016, company cofounder Shelli Gardner appointed her daughter Sara Douglass to be CEO of Stampin’ Up! Sara leads through her drive for improvement, passion for helping others, and unique perspective of the company—Stampin’ Up! has shaped her since childhood, and now she’s shaping Stampin’ Up! Shelli actively serves as Chair of the Board of Directors, and her warmth and influence are felt throughout the company and our community.
Shelli and Sara both share a clear understanding that our organization is about so much more than the two of them. It’s about the thousands of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, customers, and employees that make up our diverse community—which they both refer to as “the Stampin’ Up! family.”
Today you’ll find Stampin’ Up! in the United States and its territories, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, and the Netherlands.

Our high-quality craft supplies are developed in an unparalleled system of coordinated color, artwork, and design for papercrafters of all skill levels. We love our products, but we’re just as passionate about what you do with what you make! Our brand of crafting isn’t just about making things, it’s about making connections. We’re motivated by the relationships you strengthen through writing heartfelt messages in the greeting cards you craft and give—and we’re excited for you to share your craft projects and to feel the inspiration, encouragement, and sense of accomplishment it brings.
Stampin’ Up! is an inclusive, global community made up of independent demonstrators and their customers— papercrafters who support one another in creativity and in life! Many come to us for our products and stay because of the connection and relationships they find. Our demonstrator opportunity provides supplemental income and other benefits through selling creative products that bring people together.
